1 AN ACT making appropriations.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The sum of $2,000,000, or so much of that
5 amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General
6 Revenue Fund to the Department of Commerce and Community
7 Affairs to distribute to agencies that administer the
8 low-income home energy assistance program (LIHEAP) under the
9 Energy Assistance Act of 1999 to enable those agencies to
10 hire additional staff to expedite the application process for
11 that program.
12 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
13 becoming law.
