1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 63
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 63, AS AMENDED, in
3 Section 5-40, by adding after the last period in the Section,
4 the following:
5 "The Department must, however, expend at least $100,000,000
6 of the proceeds of the sale of the $500,000,000 in bonds
7 authorized to be expended under Section 7 of the General
8 Obligation Bond Act for the construction of mine-mouth power
9 plants, as defined in Section 605-331 of the Department of
10 Commerce and Community Affairs Law of the Civil
11 Administrative Code of Illinois."; and
12 in Section 15-935, Sec. 7, by replacing "The amount of
13 $500,000,000 is authorized to be used by the Department of
14 Commerce and Community Affairs for the purposes consistent
15 with the Clean Air and Development Law." with the following:
16 "The amount of $500,000,000 is authorized to be used by
17 the Department of Commerce and Community Affairs for the
18 purposes consistent with the Clean Air and Development Law.
19 Of that $500,000,000, the Department must use $100,000,000
20 exclusively for the construction of mine-mouth power plants,
21 as defined in Section 605-331 of the Department of Commerce
22 and Community Affairs Law of the Civil Administrative Code of
