PEN CD-DNST POL-SURV 3% INCR                                               

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Downstate Firefighter Article  of  the  Pension  Code.      
   Provides a compounded 3% annual increase in surviving spouse and child      
   pensions.   Amends  the  State  Mandates Act to require implementation      
   without reimbursement.  Effective immediately.                              
          PENSION NOTE (Pension Laws Commission)                               
          Increase in accrued liability                    $175.1 million      
          Increase in total annual cost (5.06% of payroll) $ 17.8 million
