Provides that the Department of Transportation may grant a lease of land or property to a governmental unit for a period of not longer than 99 years (now for a period no longer than 5 years). SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Further amends the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Limits the provision allowing the Department of Transportation to grant a lease to a governmental unit to governmental units in counties with a population of not less than 500,000 and more than 800,000. Provides that the duration of the lease may be for a period of time not longer than 55 years (instead of 99 years). SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 2. Deletes everything. Amends the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois by adding a caption to the Section concerning the Department of Transportation's power to grant leases of property. FISCAL NOTE, H-AM 1 (Dept. of Transportation) This legislation should have no impact on revenues generated from the leasing of excess State property. HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 3. Deletes everything. Amends the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois.
