PEN CD-IMRF-SHERIFF DISABILITY                                             

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF)  Article  of      
   the  Pension  Code  to  increase  the  basic  disability  benefit  for      
   sheriff's  law  enforcement employees from 50% to 65% of final rate of      
   earnings.  Amends the State Mandates  Act  to  require  implementation      
   without reimbursement.  Effective immediately.                              
          PENSION NOTE (Pension Laws Commission)                               
          An actuarial cost estimate is not available, but the cost            
          could be significant for SLEP employers. The effect of HB            
          4081 on individual employers will vary according to the              
          number of current and future duty disabilitants.
