LAND RECLAM-SPENDING POWER                                                 

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Abandoned  Mined  Lands  and  Water  Reclamation  Act.      
   Extends  from  August 31, 1999 to August 31, 2001 the deadline for the      
   Department of Natural Resources to obligate expenditures for  non-coal      
   mined  land  reclamation  projects  and changes the maximum amount the      
   Department may spend on those projects.  Effective immediately.
