Senate Sponsors: DUDYCZ-DILLARD-DELEO Short description: CRIM CD-UNAUTHORIZD VIDEOTAPNG Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Criminal Code of 1961. Includes in the offense of unlawful videotaping, the videotaping, photographing, or filming of another person without that person's consent in a locker room, changing room, or hotel bedroom. Requires that the videotaping, photographing, or filming must be done "knowingly" in order for the defendant to be liable for the offense. Provides that it is unlawful to knowingly videotape, photograph, or film another person in the other person's residence without that person's consent. FISCAL NOTE (Department of Corrections) There would be no corrections population or fiscal impact. CORRECTIONAL NOTE (Department of Corrections) Same as DOC fiscal note. HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Provides that the knowing dissemination of or permitting the dissemination of a videotape, photograph, or film in violation of the unauthorized videotaping statute is a Class 4 felony.
