House Sponsors: SLONE. Short description: CNTRLD SUBSTNCS-PRESCRB LIC NO Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Illinois Controlled Substances Act. Provides that a person may not request a physician's State license number or federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) number except for the purposes of credentialing or filling a prescription for a controlled substance. Provides that a prescription does not have to include a State license number or federally issued registration number authorizing the prescriber to prescribe controlled substances or scheduled drugs (DEA number) if the drug prescribed is one for which the registration number is not otherwise required by law. FISCAL NOTE (Department of Human Services) HB 3426 has no fiscal impact on DHS. HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Eliminates all provisions from the bill except for the Section caption.
