In provisions authorizing the county board to institute a civil action for the whole amount due for taxes and special assessments on the delinquent or forfeited property after final judgement and order of sale against the delinquent property has been entered, provides that the county board institutes the action as trustee for all taxing districts having an interest in the property's taxes or special assessments. Effective immediately. HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Adds reference to: 35 ILCS 200/21-105 35 ILCS 200/22-15 Deletes everything. Amends the Property Tax Code. In provisions authorizing the county board to institute a civil action for the whole amount due for taxes and special assessments on the delinquent or forfeited property after final judgement and order of sale against the delinquent property has been entered, provides that the county board institutes the action as trustee for all taxing districts having an interest in the property's taxes or special assessments. In a Section providing that certain provisions voiding all unpaid property taxes for certain taxing districts that acquire property as a result of the owner's failure to pay taxes does not relieve any owner liable for those taxes, expands this language to include the acquisition of property by taxing districts under yet another provision. In a Section authorizing the notice of expiration of the period of redemption to be served by a special process server appointed by the circuit court in lieu of service by the sheriff or coroner in counties of 3,000,000 or more inhabitants where a taxing district is a petitioner for a tax deed, expands those who may avail themselves of this provision to include any county board that is petitioner for a tax deed.
