INTERSCHOLASTIC ORG-HOME SCH                                               

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Interscholastic Athletic  Organization  Act.   Changes      
   the   name  of  the  Act  to  the  Interscholastic  Organization  Act.      
   Prohibits an interscholastic organization from adopting or maintaining      
   in effect any bylaw, rule,  regulation,  or  policy  that  prevents  a      
   student  of  a  home  school  from participating in an interscholastic      
   activity.  Effective July 1, 2000.                                          
        HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1.                                                 
        Changes references from  home-schooled  students  to  private  or      
   parochial school students.                                                  
        HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 2.                                                 
        Removes the provision prohibiting an interscholastic organization      
   from preventing a student  of  a  private  or  parochial  school  from      
   participating  in  an interscholastic activity.  Removes the effective      
   date provision.
