Short description: 
CONT SUBST-METHAMPHETAMINES                                                

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the  Illinois  Controlled  Substances  Act.   Changes  the      
   minimum  terms  of  imprisonment  for  manufacturing,  delivering,  or      
   possessing with intent to deliver methamphetamines.  Provides that the      
   fine  for  manufacturing,  delivering,  or  possessing  with intent to      
   deliver amphetamines shall be not more  than  $200,000.   Changes  the      
   minimum  term of imprisonment for possessing between 400 and 900 grams      
   of methamphetamines from 6 years to 8 years.  Changes the minimum term      
   of imprisonment for possessing over 900 grams of methamphetamines from      
   6 years to  10  years.  Provides  that  the  fine  for  possession  of      
   methamphetamines  may  not exceed $200,000 or the full street value of      
   the substance, whichever is greater.
