Short description: TAX EXEMPTION-AUTO REBATES Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Use Tax Act, the Service Use Tax Act, the Service Occupation Tax Act, and the Retailers' Occupation Tax Act. Exempts from the taxes imposed by these Acts an amount equal to the amount of any rebate due from a motor vehicle manufacturer to the purchaser of a motor vehicle. Excepts the provisions from the sunset requirements. Amends the State Mandates Act to require implementation without reimbursement. Effective January 1, 2000.
