Provides that the procedures for a sexually violent person to supply a biological specimen for DNA analysis, and the use of the results, are governed by rules adopted by the Illinois Department of State Police, and purposes authorized under the Unified Code of Corrections, for testing blood samples of certain sex offenders for analysis and categorizing into genetic marker groupings. (Now the Attorney General promulgates the rules for these procedures.) HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Adds reference to: 725 ILCS 207/15 725 ILCS 207/55 725 ILCS 207/65 725 ILCS 207/70 Further amends the Sexually Violent Persons Commitment Act. Changes the period in which a petition to declare a person sexually violent must be filed. Permits a jury for a discharge hearing.
