Senate Sponsors: WALSH,L-HALVORSON Short description: CRIM CD-CHILD ID INTERNET Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Criminal Code of 1961. Provides that it is a Class 4 felony to disclose the name, address, telephone number, or e-mail address of a person under 18 years of age on an adult obscenity or child pornography Internet site. Effective immediately. FISCAL NOTE (Department of Corrections) This bill would have minimal correctional and fiscal impact. CORRECTIONAL NOTE (Department of Corrections) Same as DOC fiscal note. SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Changes from at least 18 years of age to at least 17 years of age the minimum age of the offender. Provides that if the information disclosed is about a person under 17 years of age at the time of the offense, the penalty is a Class 3 felony. Makes it an offense to disclose identifying information about a person at least 17 without the person's consent. Provides that the penalty is a Class 4 felony.
