   735 ILCS 5/7-103.97 new                                                     

        Amends the Code of Civil Procedure.  Grants "quick-take"  eminent      
   domain powers to the City of Benton for 2 years for the acquisition of      
   property  for  the  purpose  of extending or otherwise improving South      
   DuQuoin Street.  Effective immediately.
