HARRIS AND JONES,LOU. 305 ILCS 5/5-2 from Ch. 23, par. 5-2 Amends the medical assistance Article of the Illinois Public Aid Code. In provisions concerning classes of persons for whom medical assistance shall be provided, provides that a person who is aged, blind, or disabled and who fails to qualify for aid under the AABD program on the basis of need shall not be required to incur any minimum amount of medical care costs (including costs of prescription medications) or be otherwise subject to any "spend-down" requirement based on the amount of the person's income and medical care costs before being determined eligible for medical assistance.
