Provides that employers meeting specified requirements must grant employees who have sought relief under the Illinois Domestic Violence Act of 1986 leave of up to a total of 20 hours during any calendar year for attendance at court hearings, legal consultations, counseling sessions, or physician or hospital visits related to domestic violence or the consequences of domestic violence if they cannot be scheduled during non-work hours. Provides that no leave may be taken by an employee unless the employee has exhausted all accrued vacation leave, personal leave, compensatory leave and any other leave that may be granted to the employee except sick leave and disability leave.
