91_SR0413 LRB9114981KBkb 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to 3 express their sincere condolences to the family and friends 4 of Judge Barry Puklin, who recently passed away; and 5 WHEREAS, Judge Puklin was born in Chicago, Illinois on 6 May 17, 1936, the son of Edward and Evelyn Puklin; and 7 WHEREAS, Judge Puklin was a 1954 graduate of Elgin High 8 School; he was a graduate of Northwestern University and the 9 University of Illinois Law School; and 10 WHEREAS, Judge Puklin began his law practice with his 11 father in 1965; he was a member of the law faculties of 12 Northern Illinois University and Lewis University, College of 13 Law; he served as city attorney for St. Charles, Illinois for 14 five years; he served as Assistant States Attorney of Kane 15 County from 1964 to 1975; Judge Puklin was sworn in as 16 Associate Judge in July of 1975, appointed Circuit Judge in 17 1986, and retired from the bench in July of 2000; and 18 WHEREAS, The passing of Judge Barry Puklin will be felt 19 by all who knew him, especially his wife, Karen; his 20 children, Leslie (Robin) Walker, Lisa (Bob) Wisdom, and Jon 21 (Patti) Puklin; his stepchildren, Candy (Aaron) Ruhl and 22 Heide (John) Stengel; his grandchildren, Shannon, Brynne, 23 Alexis, Callie, Ashley, and Jacob; his mother, Evelyn; his 24 brother, Tom (Cynthia) Puklin; and many friends and 25 colleagues; therefore, be it 26 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL 27 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we express our 28 sincere condolences to the family and friends of Judge Barry 29 Puklin; and be it further 30 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 31 presented to the family of Judge Barry Puklin.
