1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to
3 extend their sincere condolences to the family and friends of
4 young Matthew Voss of Naperville, Illinois, who recently
5 passed away; and
6 WHEREAS, Matthew was known as a child with a kind heart
7 and a love for art, photography, and music; he would support
8 his classmates at school when they were burdened by problems
9 and was there to lend a hand; and
10 WHEREAS, Matthew played soccer, loved to dance, and was a
11 fast runner; he finished first in the 200-yard dash two years
12 in a row at Scott Elementary School; and
13 WHEREAS, Matthew also enjoyed karate and T-ball and had
14 an interest in American Indian art; he loved reading and
15 being read to by his parents and loved school; and
16 WHEREAS, At an early age Matthew won the Johnson &
17 Johnson Most Beautiful Baby Contest, earning a $25,000
18 college scholarship; and
19 WHEREAS, Matthew loved animals and it showed with his
20 love for Buddy, his poodle; Matthew Voss will be fondly
21 remembered by all who knew and loved him, especially his
22 parents, Diane and Richard Voss; therefore, be it
23 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL
24 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we express our sorrow
25 at hearing of the death of Matthew Voss of Naperville,
26 Illinois; and be it further
27 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
28 presented to the parents of Matthew Voss.
