91_SR0398 LRB9114864KBkb 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to 3 express their sincere condolences to the family and friends 4 of Janet Jackson of Harvey, Illinois, who recently passed 5 away; and 6 WHEREAS, Janet Jackson was born in Harvey, Illinois on 7 December 30, 1954; she grew up in Harvey and graduated from 8 Thornridge High School; and 9 WHEREAS, Janet Jackson accepted Jesus Christ as her 10 Savior at any early age and was baptized; she attended Peace 11 and Goodwill Church of God, and later became a member of the 12 Outreach Church of God in Christ where she served as a Sunday 13 School teacher; and 14 WHEREAS, Janet Jackson was employed by the University of 15 Illinois at Chicago; and 16 WHEREAS, The passing of Janet Jackson will be felt by all 17 who knew her, including her children, Shonton Arva, Joslind 18 Jeanece, and DuSean Tremaine; her parents, Calvirgia (Don) 19 and Willard (Marjene); her sisters, Miriam and Lisa (Larry); 20 her brothers, Willie (Louisa), Roy, Lyle, Darren (Diane), 21 Chester (Malicia), and Davelle (Jocelyn); her four 22 grandchildren, Jasmine, Lee, Maurice, and Markus; his 23 friends, Deacon Samuel and Sister Loraine Jones, Roslind, 24 Deborah, and Michael; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, 25 and friend; therefore, be it 26 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL 27 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 28 all who knew her, the death of Janet Jackson of Harvey, 29 Illinois; and be it further 30 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 31 presented to the family of Janet Jackson, along with our -2- LRB9114864KBkb 1 sincerest regards.
