1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to
3 express their sincere condolences to the family and friends
4 of Roy Roper, who recently passed away; and
5 WHEREAS, Roy Roper was born on March 4, 1938 in Womak,
6 Illinois; his parents were Roy Roper, Sr. and Ada Roper; and
7 WHEREAS, Roy Roper was the owner and proprietor of The
8 Cobbler in downtown Aurora, after he retired from a career in
9 sales; and Roy Roper was a member of the the Loyal Order of
10 the Moose, Batavia Lodge #682; and
11 WHEREAS, The passing of Roy Roper will be felt by all
12 that knew him, especially his wife, Elizabeth; his daughters,
13 Jill (Andy), Jennie (Mitch), and Susie; his grandchildren,
14 Taylor, Paige, Patrick, and Liam Haeffele; his sisters,
15 Martha (Edward) and Shirley; his brothers, Dave (Ruth) and
16 Bernard (Shirley); and several nieces and nephews; therefore,
17 be it
18 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL
19 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the death of
20 Roy Roper of Aurora, Illinois, and extend our sympathies to
21 his family and friends; and be it further
22 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
23 presented to the family of Roy Roper.
