91_SR0375 LRB9114560KBkb 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 3 to learn of the death of John P. "Jack" Garrow of Wheaton, 4 Illinois; and 5 WHEREAS, John Garrow was born on September 19, 1928 in 6 Chicago, Illinois; he was a 1950 graduate of Northwestern 7 University; and 8 WHEREAS, John Garrow was the past president and CEO of 9 Columbian Lithographing Company in Franklin Park; he served 10 as a past board member for the LaSalle Bank of Lisle, a past 11 board member of the Forest Foundation of DuPage County, and a 12 past board member and chairman of the Illinois State Toll 13 Highway Authority; and 14 WHEREAS, John Garrow served as a Republican committeeman 15 for the DuPage County Republican Central Committee for 16 thirty-five years; John Garrow was elected "Committeeman of 17 the Year" for his work with the Republican Central Committee; 18 he was the secretary of the executive committee of the DuPage 19 Republican Organization for thirty years, a past chairman of 20 the Milton Township Republican Organization, and a campaign 21 chairman and advisor to candidates in national, local, and 22 State campaigns; and 23 WHEREAS, John Garrow loved old cars, dogs, and spending 24 time with his family at his home on Lake Michigan; the 25 passing of John Garrow will be felt by all that knew him, 26 especially his wife, Barbara; his children, Scott and his 27 wife, Angela, John and his wife, Kimberly, Susan and her 28 husband, Mitchell, and Paul and his wife, Patricia; his 29 grandchildren, Caleb, Stephanie, Jack, Jenna, Jessa, Brian, 30 Jason, Natalie, Russell, and Barbara; his sister-in-law, 31 Nancy Ford; and many friends and acquaintances; therefore, be 32 it -2- LRB9114560KBkb 1 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL 2 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 3 all that knew him, the death of John Garrow of Wheaton, 4 Illinois; and be it further 5 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 6 presented to the family of John Garrow.
