1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to
3 express their sincere sympathy to the family and friends of
4 Dr. Carol Ricks, of Geneva, Illinois, who recently passed
5 away; and
6 WHEREAS, Dr. Carol Ricks was born in St. Louis, Missouri,
7 on March 20, 1959; her parents are Clarence J. Ricks, Jr. and
8 Edna T. (Thompson) Ricks; and
9 WHEREAS, Dr. Carol Ricks was an Obstetrics and
10 Gynecological Doctor on staff at Delnor-Community Hospital in
11 Geneva and St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago; she also had an
12 office on Lincoln Highway in St. Charles; and
13 WHEREAS, Dr. Ricks was recognized by Aurora for her work
14 with young people; November 9th was named "Dr. Carol Ricks
15 Day" in Batavia for her hard work in the community; she was
16 active in the American Red Cross and received honors from the
17 Who's Who of Outstanding American Women in four different
18 years; she was a National Merit Scholar Finalist in 1976; and
19 WHEREAS, Dr. Carol Ricks is survived by her parents,
20 Clarence and Edna Ricks; her finance, David Strickland; many
21 aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; therefore, be it
22 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL
23 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
24 all that knew and loved her, the death of Carol Ricks; and be
25 it further
26 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
27 presented to the family of Dr. Carol Ricks.
