91_SR0355 LRB9113930KBkb 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 3 to learn of the death of Dr. William D. Readey of Aurora, 4 Illinois; and 5 WHEREAS, Dr. William D. Readey was born in Aurora, 6 Illinois, on November 18, 1929; he graduated from East Aurora 7 High School in 1947, attended North Central College, and 8 graduated from Illinois College of Podiatry and Foot Surgery 9 in 1953; he served in the United States Navy, and then 10 returned to the Illinois College of Podiatry as Assistant 11 Director of Clinics until 1956; and 12 WHEREAS, In 1956 Dr. Readey began his practice in Aurora; 13 in 1995 he retired after serving the community for 39 years; 14 he served on the Advisory Board of Mercy Center for many 15 years and recently received a 2500 hour pin from Provena 16 Mercy, where he was a volunteer; and 17 WHEREAS, Dr. William D. Readey was a member of Holy 18 Angels Church, the Catholic Order of Forresters, and the 19 Illinois Podiatry Association and was awarded a life 20 membership in the American Podiatry Association; he was also 21 a member of the Aurora Country Club, where he served as a 22 board member; and 23 WHEREAS, The passing of Dr. William D. Readey will be 24 deeply felt by all who knew him, especially his loving wife, 25 Nancy; his daughters, Jane (Daniel) Collins and Anne (Rex) 26 King; his grandson, Joseph P. Collins; and his 27 granddaughters, Mackenzie and Maggie Collins, and Kelly and 28 Molly King; therefore, be it 29 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL 30 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 31 all that knew and loved him, the death of Dr. William D. -2- LRB9113930KBkb 1 Readey; and be it further 2 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 3 presented to Mrs. Nancy Readey.
