91_SR0346 LRB9113789KBkb 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to 3 extend their sincere condolences to the family and friends of 4 Wayne Lindley of Sullivan, Illinois, who recently passed 5 away; and 6 WHEREAS, Wayne Lindley was born in Moweaqua on January 7 18, 1929; he was the son of Ray E. and Florence K. Hemer 8 Lindley; and 9 WHEREAS, On May 29, 1947, Wayne Lindley married Doris 10 England in Flint, Michigan; and 11 WHEREAS, Wayne Lindley was the retired owner of Barcol 12 Overhead Doors of Decatur; he was a greeter and head usher of 13 the Christian Fellowship Church of God; and he was a member 14 of George A. Sentel Masonic Lodge #764 AF & AM; and 15 WHEREAS, Mr. Lindley was serving his second term as 16 Commissioner of Parks and Finance for the City of Sullivan at 17 the time of his passing; he was instrumental in the major 18 renovation of the civic center, and took great pride in the 19 city parks; the handicapped accessible fishing pier at Wyman 20 Lake was recently named in honor of Mr. Lindley by the city 21 of Sullivan, for his hard work in developing and constructing 22 the pier; and 23 WHEREAS, The passing of Wayne Lindley will be deeply felt 24 by his loving wife, Doris; his son, Rodney Lindley and his 25 wife, Karen; his daughters, Carolyn Crockett and her husband, 26 Allen, Marcia French and her husband, Richard, and Angela Coy 27 and her husband, Ron; his sisters, Mrs. Virginia Butler, Mrs. 28 William England, and Patsey Lindley; his grandchildren, Jeff 29 Crockett, Jason Elder, Misha Hutchings, Tiffnie Tucker, Chris 30 Coy, Karissa Lindley, Ryan Lindley, Brooke Coy; and his three 31 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it -2- LRB9113789KBkb 1 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL 2 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 3 all that knew him, the death of Wayne Lindley of Sullivan, 4 Illinois; and be it further 5 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 6 presented to Mrs. Wayne Lindley.
