91_SR0329 LRB9113644CBcb 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate were saddened to learn 3 of the death of Henry C. Williams of Carthage, Mississippi, 4 formerly of Chicago Heights, on Sunday, March 19, 2000; and 5 WHEREAS, Henry Williams was born on September 22, 1932 in 6 Mississippi; he was a veteran of the United States Army; and 7 WHEREAS, Henry Williams was a 34 year resident of Chicago 8 Heights; he was an employee of the Rhodia Chemical Plant for 9 26 years, where he was a member of the 25 Year Club and 10 O.C.A.W. Local #7765 where he was president for 3 years; he 11 was also a member of Anderson Lodge #9; and 12 WHEREAS, Upon his retirement, he returned to Carthage, 13 Mississippi, where he was proprietor of William's Beauty 14 Secrets Salon and Supplies; and 15 WHEREAS, He also founded, managed, and coached the local 16 summer youth baseball team, New Shoes, for the Dixie Youth 17 Organization; and 18 WHEREAS, Henry Williams' passing will be deeply felt by 19 his family and friends, especially his wife, Evelyn; his 20 daughters and sons-in-law, Stella Smith, Deborah and Ron 21 Harper, Chenetta and James Mitchell, Andrea and Charles 22 Harris, Tenida and Illay Dawson, and Mildred Moore; his 18 23 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it 24 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL 25 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sorrow 26 and regret the death of Henry C. Williams and extend our 27 sincere condolences to his family and friends; and be it 28 further 29 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 30 presented to his widow, Evelyn Harris Williams.
