1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate were saddened to learn
3 of the death of Mr. Clifford Hamblin of East St. Louis on
4 Saturday, December 18, 1999; and
5 WHEREAS, He was born in Saint Louis, Missouri, on March
6 7, 1950, the son of Curtis Nixon, Sr. and Vernell Nixon, the
7 oldest of twelve children; and
8 WHEREAS, Mr. Hamblin graduated from Lincoln Senior High
9 School and attended State Community College; he was married
10 to Yvonne Scott Hamblin; and
11 WHEREAS, Mr. Hamblin was formerly employed at Barnes
12 Hospital; and
13 WHEREAS, His passing will be deeply felt by his family
14 and friends, especially his father, Curtis Nixon, Sr.; his
15 mother, Vernell Nixon; his brothers and sisters-in-law,
16 Curtis and Ra'Jean Nixon, Jr., Robert and Gwendolyn Nixon,
17 Vernon Nixon, and Gerald and Paula Nixon; his sisters and
18 brothers-in-law, Valerie Nixon, Donna and Daniel Darby, Diane
19 and Almond Jackson, Rosiland and Gregory Bishop, Greta and
20 David Frazier, Gilda and Robert Sloan, and Sharron and Undre
21 Howard, Sr.; and a host of other relatives; therefore, be it
22 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL
23 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sorrow
24 and regret the death of Clifford Hamblin and extend our
25 sincere condolences to his family and friends; and be it
26 further
27 RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
28 presented to the family of Clifford Hamblin.
