91_SR0268 LRB9112780CBcb 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate were saddened to learn 3 of the death of Mrs. Ilean Hickman of East St. Louis on 4 Saturday, December 11, 1999; and 5 WHEREAS, She was born on December 3, 1917, the daughter 6 of Tom Holmes and Anne Bell Brown; and 7 WHEREAS, She was married to Clenties Hickman and to this 8 union were born three children; in 1942, the family relocated 9 to East St. Louis; and 10 WHEREAS, Mrs. Hickman was employed at the Federal Reserve 11 Bank in St. Louis, Missouri, for twenty-five years prior to 12 her retirement in December, 1979; and 13 WHEREAS, She relocated to Louisville, Mississippi, and in 14 1992, because of failing health, she was moved back to East 15 St. Louis to live with her daughter and son-in-law; and 16 WHEREAS, Her passing will be deeply felt by her family 17 and friends, especially her daughters, Dorothy Jackson and 18 Bonnie Snowden; her son, Robert Hickman; her son-in-law, John 19 Snowden; her daughter-in-law, Minnie Hickman; her sisters, 20 Essie B. Hayden, Bessie Coleman, and Ida Braggs; her brother, 21 Jimmie T. Holmes; her thirteen grandchildren; and her 22 fourteen great-grandchildren; therefore, be it 23 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL 24 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sorrow 25 and regret the death of Mrs. Ilean Hickman and extend to her 26 family and friends our sincere condolences; and be it further 27 RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be 28 presented to the family of Mrs. Ilean Hickman.
