91_SR0236 LRB9110033CBcb 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate were saddened to learn 3 of the death of Paul George "P.G." Fiedler on Sunday, 4 December 5, 1999; and 5 WHEREAS, He was born in Alton on June 17, 1931, the son 6 of the late Paul Henry and Gertrude Flamm Fiedler; he married 7 the former Alice June Jacobs on September 16, 1950; and 8 WHEREAS, He was a veteran of the United States Navy, 9 serving during the Korean War; and 10 WHEREAS, He was a retired farmer and rural mail carrier 11 with 30 years of service; he was currently serving as an 12 Illinois Farm Bureau Director, representing District 15; and 13 WHEREAS, He served on the board of directors of Country 14 Companies Insurance and on the board of IMG - Digital; and 15 WHEREAS, He was a member of Indian Creek Church of Christ 16 in Hamburg, a member of the Kampsville American Legion, a 17 member of Calhoun Masonic Lodge, and a member of the Jersey 18 Antique Tractor Club; and 19 WHEREAS, His passing will be deeply felt by his family 20 and friends, especially his wife, Alice; two daughters and a 21 son-in-law, Jana Subling and Jill and Tom Duve; his 22 grandchildren, Jennifer, Erica, Jessica, and Christa; and his 23 great-grandchildren, Haley and Carley; therefore, be it 24 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL 25 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sorrow 26 and regret the death of Paul George Fiedler and extend our 27 sincere condolences to his family and friends; and be it 28 further 29 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 30 presented to his widow, Alice June Fiedler.
