1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to
3 extend their sincere sympathies to the family and friends of
4 Mary Rodgers, who recently passed away; and
5 WHEREAS, Mary Rodgers was born in Saidora on April 12,
6 1909; her parents were Bert and Lillie Bell Wiseman; and
7 WHEREAS, Mary Rodgers was the operator of a beauty shop
8 for many years; she later worked for Ray Page, State
9 Superintendent of Schools; she was also active in State and
10 federal Republican politics; and
11 WHEREAS, Mary Rodgers is survived by her son, Don
12 Blessman, and his wife, Jean; her four grandchildren, and her
13 four great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
14 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL
15 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
16 all that knew and loved her, the death of Mary Rodgers of
17 Havana, Illinois; and be it further
18 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
19 presented to the family of Mary Rodgers.
