1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate were saddened to learn
3 of the death of Annie Schoenherr of Carlinville on Tuesday,
4 October 19, 1999; and
5 WHEREAS, She was born in Carlinville on March 7, 1927,
6 the daughter of George and Bernadine Kaufman Schoenherr; she
7 was a 1945 graduate of Carlinville High School; and
8 WHEREAS, She worked at Klocke Jewelry and later purchased
9 the business, operating it as Annie's Jewelry for many years
10 before retiring in 1990; and
11 WHEREAS, She was Carlinville's first woman mayor, serving
12 from 1981 to 1989; and
13 WHEREAS, She was a member of St. Simon and Jude Church in
14 Gillespie; and
15 WHEREAS, Her passing will be deeply felt by her family
16 and friends, especially her sister, Margaret Bloomfield; her
17 nieces, Ann Grichnik and Sue Coonrod; and her nephew, George
18 Levi; therefore, be it
19 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL
20 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sorrow
21 and regret the death of Annie Schoenherr and extend our
22 sincere condolences to her family and friends; and be it
23 further
24 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
25 presented to Margaret Bloomfield, sister of Annie Schoenherr.
