1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate are saddened to learn
3 of the recent death of Andrea J. Youngblood of Rogers Park;
4 and
5 WHEREAS, Ms. Youngblood was the director of the Chicago
6 Fire Department's medical benefits office; she also was
7 instrumental in helping to organize special projects,
8 including a city employee effort to adopt needy families at
9 Christmas and the Fire Department's annual summer picnic for
10 senior citizens; and
11 WHEREAS, A Chicago native, she attended the University of
12 Chicago Laboratory Schools and Roosevelt University, where
13 she majored in business administration; and
14 WHEREAS, She was employed as an assistant vice president
15 at Harris Bank; she later worked for Chicago's Office of
16 Budget and Management before taking the position with the
17 fire department; and
18 WHEREAS, Her passing will be deeply felt by her family
19 and friends, especially her parents, Ronald and Rose; her
20 brother, Kyle; her grandmother, Ornetha Hinton; and her
21 grandfather, Merle Youngblood; therefore, be it
22 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL
23 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sorrow
24 and regret the death of Andrea J. Youngblood and extend our
25 sincere condolences to her family and friends; and be it
26 further
27 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
28 presented to her parents.
