91_SR0069 LRB9106364CBcb 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate were saddened to learn 3 of the recent death of Mrs. Dorothy Jean Barker MacLean of 4 Winnetka; and 5 WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband, John 6 A. MacLean, Jr., and her son, John A. McLean III; and 7 WHEREAS, She was a graduate of Colorado College with a 8 master's degree in English from Smith College in 1926; and 9 WHEREAS, She had served on the Winnetka School Board and 10 participated in a number of educational initiatives at the 11 University of Chicago, Dartmouth College, Smith College, 12 Colorado College, The Newberry Library, the Young Artists 13 Programs at Ravinia, The School of the Art Institute, and the 14 Chicago Symphony; and 15 WHEREAS, Her passing will be deeply felt by her family 16 and friends, especially her sons, David Barker MacLean and 17 Barry Lee MacLean; her daughters-in-law, Joy, Carol, and Mary 18 Ann; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren; therefore, 19 be it 20 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL 21 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sorrow 22 and regret the death of Mrs. Dorothy Jean MacLean and extend 23 our sincere condolences to her family and friends; and be it 24 further 25 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 26 presented to her sons, David and Barry MacLean.
