91_SR0060 LRB9106273KBkb 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to 3 express their sincere sympathies to the family and friends of 4 William G. McConnaughay, who passed away on February 28, 5 1999; and 6 WHEREAS, William McConnaughay was born in Mount Vernon, 7 Illinois, on October 30, 1928; his parents were James and 8 Florence Bowling McConnaughay; and 9 WHEREAS, Mr. McConnaughay was a veteran of the Korean 10 War, where he served in the United States Army; and 11 WHEREAS, Mr. McConnaughay was the owner of McConnaughay 12 Properties of Geneva; he was also involved in other family 13 businesses, including Geneva Bottling Works and Geneva Home 14 Works; and 15 WHEREAS, William McConnaughay is survived by his wife, 16 Rosemary; his son, John (Karen) McConnaughay; his daughters, 17 Catherine (Glenn) Cushing, Janet (Kenneth) Smudde, and 18 Margaret Milnamow; his grandchildren, Christopher, Kate, 19 Courtney, Garrett, Sean, Madeline, and Catherine; his 20 brothers, James (Margaret) McConnaughay, Terry (Rocadella) 21 McConnaughay, Glenn (Mary) McConnaughay, Paul (Lois) 22 McConnaughay, and Ron (Anne) McConnaughay; his sisters, 23 Isabelle Fisher, and Norma (Elliott) Lundberg; and many 24 nieces and nephews; therefore, be it 25 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL 26 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, with 27 sadness and loss, the death of William McConnaughay, of 28 Geneva, Illinois; and be it further 29 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 30 presented to the family of William McConnaughay.
