91_SR0059 LRB9106270KBkb 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 3 to learn of the death of Lynn M. Rokita, of Belleville, 4 Illinois; and 5 WHEREAS, Lynn Rokita was born in Belleville, Illinois, on 6 May 14, 1977; her parents are James and Sharon Rokita; and 7 WHEREAS, Lynn Rokita was a graduate of Signal Hill Grade 8 School; she graduated from Belleville Township High School 9 West in 1995; in high school she participated in cheerleading 10 for four years, was an assistant editor for the high school 11 newspaper, the High News, and was a member of the Model U.N. 12 Club; and 13 WHEREAS, Lynn Rokita was attending Southern Illinois 14 University in Edwardsville, where she was finishing her 15 fourth year as a speech and mass communications major; and 16 WHEREAS, Lynn Rokita was employed as a waitress and 17 bartender at Houlihan's Restaurant in Fairview Heights and a 18 sales clerk at Structure Clothing, also in Fairview Heights; 19 she had recently completed a public relations internship with 20 the American Heart Association in Phoenix, Arizona; Lynn 21 Rokita also attended Blessed Sacrament Church; and 22 WHEREAS, Lynn Rokita is survived by her parents, James 23 and Sharon; her brother, David M. Rokita; her grandmother, 24 Lucille E. Rokita; her uncle and aunt, Thomas R. and Ruth 25 Mabry, and her aunt, Patricia Schmidt; therefore, be it 26 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL 27 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 28 her family and friends, the death of Lynn Rokita of 29 Belleville, Illinois; may they find comfort in this time of 30 loss; and be it further -2- LRB9106270KBkb 1 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 2 presented to the family of Lynn Rokita.
