91_SR0028 LRB9105618CBcb 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate were saddened to learn 3 of the death of Mary Alice Harris of Alton on Saturday, 4 January 23, 1999; and 5 WHEREAS, She was born in Alton on February 4, 1911, the 6 daughter of the late James and Lillian Bund Moran; she 7 married James D. Haine on July 18, 1942 at St. Patrick's 8 Church in Alton; he preceded her in death; and 9 WHEREAS, Mrs. Haine was employed from 1934 until 1942 as 10 a secretary to the plant manager of the Central Mold and 11 Machine Manufacturing Shops of Owens-Illinois Glass Company; 12 and 13 WHEREAS, She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church 14 and past active member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and 15 St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, where she was active in 16 the Altar Societies, the St. Patrick's Mother's Club, the St. 17 Anthony's Hospital Auxiliary, and the Ursuline Auxiliary; and 18 WHEREAS, Her passing will be deeply felt by her family 19 and friends, especially her sons and their wives, James and 20 Madeleine Haine, William and Anna Haine, John and Susan 21 Haine, and Thomas and Patrick Fitzmorris Haine; 13 22 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it 23 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL 24 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sorrow 25 and regret the death of Mary Alice Haine and extend our 26 sincere condolences to her family and friends; and be it 27 further 28 RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be 29 presented to the family of Mary Alice Haine.
