91_SB1634eng SB1634 Engrossed LRB9113043JMmb 1 AN ACT to amend the Illinois Family Farmer Support Act by 2 changing Section 10. 3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 4 represented in the General Assembly: 5 Section 5. The Illinois Family Farmer Support Act is 6 amended by changing Section 10 as follows: 7 (505 ILCS 57/10) 8 Sec. 10. Cooperative Development Board. The Cooperative 9 Extension Service of the College of Agriculture of the 10 University of Illinois shall create a Cooperative Development 11 Board. Subject to appropriation, the Board shall establish, 12 assist, and enhance the development of local and regional 13 agricultural institutions, such as, but not limited to, 14 cooperatives, other ownership structures, contractual 15 arrangements, and information systems to provide support to 16 Illinois family farmers. The Board also shall inform farmers 17 interested in creating a cooperative of the existence of the 18 State Treasurer's low-interest agricultural loan financing 19 program. 20 (Source: P.A. 91-191, eff. 7-20-99.) 21 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon 22 becoming law.
