91_SB1293eng SB1293 Engrossed LRB9110018JMmb 1 AN ACT to amend the Election Code by adding Section 2 9-8.20. 3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 4 represented in the General Assembly: 5 Section 5. The Election Code is amended by adding 6 Section 9-8.20 as follows: 7 (10 ILCS 5/9-8.20 new) 8 Sec. 9-8.20. Contributions to members of certain Boards 9 of Review. A member of, or candidate for, a Board of Review 10 created under Section 5-5 of the Property Tax Code, or the 11 member's or candidate's political committee, may not solicit 12 or accept contributions from an entity, including attorneys 13 and tax consultants, who has represented a taxpayer before 14 the Board in the preceding 5 years or who is currently 15 representing a taxpayer before the Board.
