 1        AN ACT to amend the Code of Civil Procedure  by  changing
 2    Section 7-103.70.

 3        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 4    represented in the General Assembly:

 5        Section 5.  The Code of Civil  Procedure  is  amended  by
 6    changing Section 7-103.70 as follows:

 7        (735 ILCS 5/7-103.70)
 8        Sec.    7-103.70.  Quick-take;    Southwestern   Illinois
 9    Development Authority.  Quick-take proceedings under  Section
10    7-103  may  be  used for a period from May 22, 1998 to August
11    30, 2002  2000,  by  the  Southwestern  Illinois  Development
12    Authority  pursuant  to the Southwestern Illinois Development
13    Authority Act for a project as defined in Section 3  of  that
14    Act.

16        Section  99.  Effective date.  This Act takes effect upon
17    becoming law.
