1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1207
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 1207 on page 1, by
3 replacing lines 1 and 2 with the following:
4 "AN ACT concerning veterans homes, amending named Acts.";
5 and
6 on page 1, line 6, by inserting "and by adding Section 2d"
7 after "2.04"; and
8 on page 1, by inserting below line 6 the following:
9 "(20 ILCS 2805/2d new)
10 Sec. 2d. LaSalle Veterans Home capacity.
11 (a) The Department finds that the Illinois Veterans Home
12 at LaSalle requires an increase in capacity to better serve
13 the north central region of Illinois and to accommodate the
14 increasing number of Illinois veterans eligible for care.
15 (b) Subject to appropriation, the Department shall
16 increase by at least 80 beds the capacity of the Illinois
17 Veterans Home at LaSalle and shall request and expend federal
18 grants for this Veterans Home addition.".
