91_SB0784sam001 LRB9105971RCksam 1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 784 2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 784 on page 1, by 3 replacing lines 18 through 26 with the following: 4 "interlocutory appeal. Delay shall be considered to be 5 agreed to by the defendant unless he or she objects to the 6 delay by making a written demand for trial or an oral demand 7 for trial on the record. 8 The 120-day term must be one continuous period of 9 incarceration. In computing the 120-day term, separate 10 periods of incarceration may not be combined. If a defendant 11 is taken into custody a second (or subsequent) time for the 12 same offense, the term will begin again at day zero."; and 13 on page 2, line 9, by inserting "(b)" after "subsection"; and 14 on page 2, line 14 by changing "provision" to "subsection (b) 15provision".
