1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 749
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 749 as follows:
3 on page 1, by replacing line 9 with the following:
4 "only when the person engaging or seeking to engage engaged
5 or sought to be engaged by"; and
6 on page 2, line 26, by replacing "business" with "of the
7 business"; and
8 by replacing line 27 with the following:
9 "the filing of a notice of lien (i) in the recorder's office
10 of the county in which the real property is located, as to
11 real property, and (ii) in the Office of the Secretary of
12 State, as to tangible personal property, by"; and
13 on page 5, lines 19 and 21, after "assets" each time it
14 appears, by inserting "of the business that are subject to
15 this Act"; and
16 on page 6, line 5, by replacing "payment" with "payment"; and
17 on line 19, after "claim", by inserting ","; and
18 on line 21, by replacing "and" with "and"; and
19 on line 24, before the period, by inserting the following: "

1 , and (iii) prior recorded liens perfected under the Uniform
2 Commercial Code".
