 1        AN  ACT  to  amend  the Wildlife Code by changing Section
 2    1.6.

 3        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 4    represented in the General Assembly:

 5        Section  5.   The  Wildlife  Code  is amended by changing
 6    Section 1.6 as follows:

 7        (520 ILCS 5/1.6) (from Ch. 61, par. 1.6)
 8        Sec. 1.6.  Propagation and stocking.  The Department, and
 9    persons authorized by it, may take,  purchase  or  propagate,
10    any  mammals  or  birds,  or  eggs  of  any  such  birds  for
11    propagation  and  stocking  purposes,  and when so taken, may
12    transmit them to parts of the State where a scarcity of those
13     such birds or mammals exists, for the purpose of restocking
14    those such parts of the State.
