1 AN ACT to amend the Illinois Public Aid Code by adding
2 Section 4-23.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by
6 adding Section 4-23 as follows:
7 (305 ILCS 5/4-23 new)
8 Sec. 4-23. Transportation assistance during
9 non-traditional working hours. The Department shall enter
10 into agreements with local school districts, religious
11 institutions, and community organizations to provide
12 recipients under the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families
13 program with transportation to work during non-traditional
14 working hours.
15 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
16 becoming law.
