91_SB0619eng SB619 Engrossed BOB-RetSys2000 1 AN ACT regarding appropriations. 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 3 represented in the General Assembly: 4 Section 1.1. The following named amounts, or so much 5 thereof as may be necessary, respectively, are appropriated 6 for the objects and purposes hereinafter named to meet the 7 ordinary and contingent expenses of the State Employees' 8 Retirement System: 9 FOR OPERATIONS 10 FOR THE SOCIAL SECURITY ENABLING ACT 11 For Personal Services......................... $ 37,200 12 For Employee Retirement Contributions 13 Paid by Employer ............................ 1,500 14 For State Contributions to the State 15 Employees' Retirement System................. 3,700 16 For State Contributions to 17 Social Security.............................. 2,900 18 For Contractual Services...................... 25,200 19 For Travel.................................... 2,000 20 For Commodities............................... 400 21 For Printing ................................. 100 22 For Equipment ................................ 100 23 For Electronic Data Processing ............... 700 24 For Telecommunications Services............... 600 25 Total $74,400 26 CENTRAL OFFICE 27 For Employee Retirement Contributions 28 Paid by Employer for Prior Fiscal Year: 29 Payable from General Revenue Fund...............$ 50,000 30 Section 1.2. The sum of $12,720,000, minus the amount 31 transferred to the State Employees' Retirement System SB619 Engrossed -2- BOB-RetSys2000 1 pursuant to continuing appropriation authorized by the State 2 Pensions Fund Continuing Appropriation Act, is appropriated 3 from the State Pensions Fund to the Board of Trustees of the 4 State Employees' Retirement System pursuant to the provisions 5 of Section 8.12 of "An Act in relation to State finance", 6 approved June 10, 1919, as amended. 7 Section 2.1. The sum of $19,228,000, or so much thereof 8 as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue 9 Fund to the Board of Trustees of the Judges' Retirement 10 System for the State's Contribution, as provided by law. 11 Section 2.2. The sum of $2,160,000, minus the amount 12 transferred to the Judges' Retirement System pursuant to 13 continuing appropriation authorized by the State Pensions 14 Fund Continuing Appropriation Act, is appropriated from the 15 State Pensions Fund to the Board of Trustees of the Judges' 16 Retirement System pursuant to the provisions of Section 8.12 17 of "An Act in relation to State finance", approved June 10, 18 1919, as amended. 19 Section 3.1. The sum of $3,471,000, or so much thereof 20 as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue 21 Fund to the Board of Trustees of the General Assembly 22 Retirement System for the State's Contribution, as provided 23 by law. 24 Section 3.2. The sum of $480,000, minus the amount 25 transferred to the General Assembly Retirement System 26 pursuant to continuing appropriation authorized by the State 27 Pensions Fund Continuing Appropriation Act, is appropriated 28 from the State Pensions Fund to the Board of Trustees of the 29 General Assembly Retirement System, pursuant to the 30 provisions of Section 8.12 of "An Act in relation to State SB619 Engrossed -3- BOB-RetSys2000 1 finance", approved June 10, 1919, as amended. 2 Section 4.1. The following named amounts, or so much 3 thereof as may be necessary, respectively, are appropriated 4 from the General Revenue Fund to the Teachers' Retirement 5 System for the objects and purposes hereinafter named: 6 For supplementary payments to teachers pursuant 7 to the provisions of Sections 16-135 8 and 16-149.4 of the "Illinois Pension Code", 9 as amended................................... $ 35,000 10 For additional costs due to the establishment 11 of minimum retirement allowances 12 pursuant to Sections 16-136.2 and 13 16-136.3 of the "Illinois 14 Pension Code", as amended.................... 6,000,000 15 Total $6,035,000 16 Section 4.1a. The sum of $55,600,000, minus the amount 17 transferred to the Teachers' Retirement System pursuant to 18 continuing appropriation authorized by the State Pensions 19 Fund Continuing Appropriation Act, is appropriated from the 20 State Pensions Fund to the Board of Trustees of the Teachers' 21 Retirement System pursuant to the provisions of Section 8.12 22 of "AN ACT in relation to State finance", approved June 10, 23 1919, as amended. 24 Section 5.1. The sum of $50,000, or so much thereof as 25 may be necessary, is appropriated to the Public School 26 Teachers' Pension and Retirement Fund of Chicago, for 27 supplementary payments as set forth in Sections 17-154, 28 17-155 and 17-156 of the "Illinois Pension Code", approved 29 March 18, 1963, as amended. 30 Section 6.1. The sum of $9,040,000, minus the amount SB619 Engrossed -4- BOB-RetSys2000 1 transferred to the State Universities Retirement System 2 pursuant to continuing appropriation authorized by the State 3 Pensions Fund Continuing Appropriation Act, is appropriated 4 from the State Pensions Fund to the Board of Trustees of the 5 State Universities Retirement System of Illinois pursuant to 6 the provisions of Section 8.12 of "AN ACT in relation to 7 State finance", approved June 10, 1919, as amended. 8 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 9 1, 1999.
