The sum of $100,000, or so much thereof as 15 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Underground 16 Storage Tank Fund to the Office of the State Fire Marshal for 17 the purpose of funding expenses associated with processing 18 backlogged files pursuant to the Leaking Underground Storage 19 Tank Program. 20 Section 3. The sum of $648,600, or so much thereof as 21 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Underground 22 Storage Tank Fund to the Office of the State Fire Marshal for 23 costs associated with compliance certification of underground 24 storage tanks. 25 Section 4. The sum of $130,000, or so much thereof as 26 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Illinois 27 Firefighters' Memorial Fund to the Office of the State Fire 28 Marshal for expenses related to the planning and construction 29 of the Firefighters' Memorial to be located at the State 30 Capitol grounds. The following named amounts, or so much 2 thereof as may be necessary, respectively, are appropriated 3 to the Office of the State Fire Marshal as follows: 4 Payable from the Fire Prevention Fund: 5 For Fire Prevention Training.................. $ 75,000 6 For Expenses of Life Safety 7 Code Inspection Program...................... 50,000 8 For Expenses of Fire Prevention 9 Awareness Program............................ 75,000 10 For Expenses of Arson Education 11 and Seminars ................................ 5,000 12 Payable from the Fire Prevention 13 Division Fund: 14 For Expenses of the U.S. Resource 15 Conservation and Recovery Act 16 Underground Storage Program.................. 186,000 17 Total $391,000 18 Payable from the Emergency Response 19 Reimbursement Fund: 20 For Hazardous Material Emergency 21 Response Reimbursement ...........................$ 25,000 22 Section 6. The following named amounts, or so much 23 thereof as may be necessary, respectively, are appropriated 24 for the ordinary and contingent expenses of the Office of the 25 State Fire Marshal, as follows: 26 GRANTS 27 Payable from the Fire Prevention Fund: 28 For Chicago Fire Department Training Program $ 1,020,000 29 For payment to local governmental agencies 30 which participate in the State Training 31 Programs..................................... 500,000 32 For Regional Training Grants ................. 200,000 SB606 Engrossed -4- BOB-OSFM2000 1 Total $1,720,000 2 Section 7. The sum of $550,000, or so much thereof as 3 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Underground 4 Storage Tank Fund to the Office of the State Fire Marshal for 5 a grant to the City of Chicago for Administrative Costs 6 incurred as a result of the State's Underground Storage 7 Program. 8 Section 8. The sum of $2,000, or so much thereof as may 9 be necessary, is appropriated from the Fire Prevention Fund 10 to the Office of the State Fire Marshal for grants available 11 for the development of new fire districts. 12 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on 13 July 1, 1999.
