1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 527
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 527, AS AMENDED,
3 with reference to page and line numbers of Senate Amendment
4 No. 1 on page 5, by replacing lines 9 through 34 with the
5 following:
6 "(f) Notification for applications of pesticides to
7 school grounds other than school structures. School
8 districts must maintain a registry of parents and guardians
9 of students who have registered to receive written
10 notification prior to the application of pesticides to school
11 grounds or provide written notification to all parents and
12 guardians of students before such pesticide application.
13 Written notification may be included in newsletters,
14 bulletins, calendars, or other correspondence currently
15 published by the school district. The written notification
16 must be given at least 2 business days before application of
17 the pesticide and should identify the intended date of the
18 application of the pesticide and the name and telephone
19 contact number for the school personnel responsible for the
20 pesticide application program. Prior written notice shall
21 not be required if there is imminent threat to health or
22 property. If such a situation arises, the appropriate school
23 personnel must sign a statement describing the circumstances
24 that gave rise to the health threat and ensure that written

1 notice is provided as soon as practicable."; and
2 by deleting all of page 6 and lines 1 through 14 on page 7.
