91_SB0415eng SB415 Engrossed LRB9102165WHcs 1 AN ACT to amend the Unemployment Insurance Act by adding 2 Section 232.2. 3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 4 represented in the General Assembly: 5 Section 5. The Unemployment Insurance Act is amended by 6 adding Section 232.2 as follows: 7 (820 ILCS 405/232.2 new) 8 Sec. 232.2. Students; organized camps. 9 A. The term "employment" does not include service 10 performed by a full-time student in the employ of an 11 organized camp if: 12 1. the camp: 13 (a) did not operate for more than 7 months in 14 the calendar year and did not operate for more than 15 7 months in the preceding calendar year; or 16 (b) had average gross receipts for any 6 17 months in the preceding calendar year which were not 18 more than 33 1/3% of its average gross receipts for 19 the other 6 months in the preceding calendar year; 20 and 21 2. the full-time student performs services in the 22 employ of the camp for less than 13 calendar weeks in the 23 calendar year. 24 B. For the purposes of this Section, an individual shall 25 be treated as a full-time student for any period: 26 1. during which the individual is enrolled as a 27 full-time student at an educational institution; or 28 2. which is between academic years or terms if: 29 (a) the individual was enrolled as a full-time 30 student at an educational institution for the 31 immediately preceding academic year or term; and SB415 Engrossed -2- LRB9102165WHcs 1 (b) there is a reasonable assurance that the 2 individual will be so enrolled for the immediately 3 succeeding academic year or term after the period 4 described in clause (a) of this subdivision 2.
