1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 387
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 387 on page 12,
3 line 14, after "may", by inserting "establish a program to";
4 and
5 on page 12, line 15, by inserting after "if" the following:
6 ", as of the date of the election at which the person serves
7 as a judge,"; and
8 on page 12, by replacing lines 17 and 18 with the following:
9 "(1) is a U.S. citizen;" and
10 on page 12, line 22, by replacing "2.5" with "3.0"; and
11 on page 12, line 34, by inserting after "precinct." the
12 following:
13 "Prior to appointment, a judge qualifying under this
14 subsection must certify in writing to the election authority
15 the political party the judge chooses to affiliate with.
16 Students appointed as election judges under this
17 subsection shall not be counted as absent from school on the
18 day they serve as judges."; and
19 on page 14, line 25, after "may", by inserting "establish a

21 on page 14, line 26, by inserting after "if" the following:

7 "13-2.1, 13-2.2, and 14-4.1"; and
8 on page 15, line 11, by inserting after "precinct." the
9 following:
