1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 311
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 311 by replacing
3 everything after the enacting clause with the following:
4 "Section 5. The Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is
5 amended by changing Section 49.13 as follows:
6 (20 ILCS 2705/49.13) (from Ch. 127, par. 49.13)
7 Sec. 49.13. Lease of property.
8 (a) From time to time to lease any land or property,
9 with or without appurtenances, of which the Department has
10 jurisdiction, and which are not immediately to be used or
11 developed by the State; provided that no such lease be for a
12 longer period of time than that in which it can reasonably be
13 expected the State will not have use for such property, and
14 further provided that no such lease be for a longer period of
15 time than 5 years, except as provided in subsection (b).
16 (b) In counties with a population of not less than
17 500,000 and not more than 800,000, a lease to any other
18 department of State government, any authority, commission, or
19 agency of the State, or a municipality, county, or township
20 of the State, including in any land lease the corresponding
21 vertical rights, subterranean and air rights, and sublease
22 rights, may be for a period of time no longer than 55 years.
